The Alden B. Dow Home and Studio is proud to host Generational Ties an exhibit of the Fiber artwork of Leslie Anne Feagley paired with the architectural design of her father, Alden B. Dow Associate Architect Jack P. Feagley. The exhibit is featured in the Second Drafting Room of the Alden B. Dow Studio and is open to the public M-F from 9 am to 5 pm and will run through mid-December.

Growing up in Midland, Leslie was inspired by the Mid-Century Modern designs. She comments, “I was greatly influenced by my dad’s work. At a young age, I would often snoop around his basement drafting table, exploring his drawings and pretending to be an architect. I used his stencils and tools to design my own creations. I was also subliminally fascinated and influenced by dad’s office – the Alden B. Dow Home and Studio – and loved to visit. The bold colors and graphic angles of the building can be seen in my work today.”

Leslie has expressed her design ideas in many media over 30 plus years as an artist- graphic design, photography, mixed media, ceramics, painting, and now the fiber arts of weaving and punch needle. This is her first show as a fiber artist. The piece can be purchased through the Alden B. Dow Home and Studio.
