EXTERIOR WOOD REFINISHING PRODUCTS
Stripping Products
Jasco Premium Paint and Epoxy Remover (available at Lowe’s)
Denatured Alcohol and Fine Steel Wool for hard to get places
Finishing Products
Orbital Sander: 40 grit will remove paint; Use 80 grit up to 120 grit or if you like 180 grit before applying polyurethane
Use a detail sander for getting into corners and tight spaces – Festool makes a very good detail sander
After finishing sanding, vacuum off the finish surface to remove all the light sawdust, before applying finish
Sikkens Cetol Teak for First Coat – takes at least 6 to 8 hours to dry
Sikkens Cetol 23 Plus RE for Top Coat – apply top coat within 5 days of first coat
Sikkens Cetol 23 Plus RE for maintenance coat applied every 2-3 years.

3-4 coats with light sanding in between coats this is a brush on finish
You can use a rub on finish as well –
Use the Orbital Sander and detail sander as required starting with 40 grit then progressing to 80, 120, 150 and 200
