This handcrafted wooden puzzle is an original design by architect Alden B. Dow. “He loved the challenge of a puzzle and how it made us think in different ways,” said Craig McDonald, director of the Alden B. Dow Home & Studio in Midland, Michigan.
“Mr. Dow would have the puzzle lying out to entice people to put it together. There’s no right answer. Mr. Dow was always encouraging us to think and create from our own unique perspectives. He would challenge you to see what you could make with it.”
An original puzzle is on display in the Alden B. Dow Home & Studio and was made of fir wood. This reproduction was made of cherry wood to be stronger and was handcrafted by the Alden B. Dow Home & Studio.
