Second Drafting Room, 1936

Limited Edition Prints

In 1936, Alden B. Dow completed his vision of the architectural studio.  In preparation for construction this he created this rendering of the exterior of the Second Drafting Room.

This view is just one of the iconic images of the Alden B. Dow Studio with a saw-toothed roof line of standing -seamed copper covering the Second Drafting Room and woodworking shop.

Only 50 copies of this original rendering have been printed.  Each one is titled, stamped with Alden B. Dow’s original registration number stamp, and numbered in the sequence they were printed.

Each rendering is printed on acid-free high quality archival paper and mounted on acid-free foam board then shrink wrapped.  In addition to Alden B. Dow’s registration number stamp there is a copyright notice stamped on the back of each piece. The rendering is 30” wide and 16 ½” high.
